Director, National Programs

About the role

The Director of National Programs leads Maximo Nivel’s Native English Program in Cusco, overseeing sales, marketing, client service, class scheduling, diagnostic testing, and student matriculation. This senior position manages a small office team and ensures the daily operations of the front‑office store run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of individual and corporate English courses to hotels, banks, restaurants, tour operators and other businesses.
• Coordinate with the Academic Director to schedule classes, maximize matriculations and deliver excellent client service.
• Manage front‑office logistics including opening, closing, cash handling and daily reporting.
• Generate regular reports (cash box, matriculation per class, class schedule, inventory) using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Enforce program policies such as post‑exam matriculation, use of original textbooks, greeting hours and removal of non‑paying clients.
• Lead, train and motivate a cross‑cultural team of 3‑5 staff members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred); TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certification is a plus.
• Fluent English and advanced Spanish.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in sales or client‑service environments.
• Strong administrative, organizational and detail‑oriented skills.
• Result‑focused mindset with the ability to set goals and manage competing priorities.
