Engineering Team Lead (LATAM)

About the role

Deel is looking for an Engineering Team Lead to drive technical excellence for its LATAM market. You will balance hands‑on development with strategic leadership, guiding a cross‑functional team of 6‑10 engineers to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of 6‑10 engineers, splitting time between mentorship (≈50%) and active coding (≈50%).
• Design, develop, and ship scalable applications using Node.js.
• Establish and enforce best practices for development, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product, design, and operations to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, code quality, and innovation.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams in a fast‑paced, SaaS environment.
• Strong hands‑on development background with the ability to contribute code regularly.
• Excellent mentorship and communication skills to grow team capabilities.
