Head of Procurement

About the role

APM Terminals is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead the Callao procurement function. The role is responsible for aligning performance, driving cost‑saving initiatives and ensuring compliance across the terminal’s supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Own performance alignment and career development of the Callao procurement team through regular performance conversations.
• Manage the Callao OPEX spend portfolio and implement global, regional and terminal procurement strategies.
• Contribute to the development of regional procurement strategies and plans.
• Guide complex procurement projects across multiple functions and teams.
• Drive P&L savings and cost‑improvement plans for the terminal.
• Improve supply‑chain cycle time from purchase request approval to delivery.
• Establish frameworks to maintain compliance with sourcing, supply‑chain and contract processes, including internal policies and procurement standards.
• Collaborate with Asset Maintenance to optimise spare‑parts availability, inventory management and delivery times.
• Work with warehouse teams to ensure critical material stock levels and minimise urgent purchases.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in procurement or supply‑chain functions.
• Strong knowledge of OPEX spend management and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Experience developing and executing procurement strategies at global or regional level.
• Ability to lead complex projects and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks, internal policies and procurement standards.
