IAM Engineer

About the role

Join the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to secure the foundation of a leading crypto platform. You will work with modern IAM tools to build a seamless, secure, and scalable access ecosystem for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own, implement, and continuously improve IAM tooling such as Okta and ConductorOne across the enterprise.
• Drive adoption of scalable access control models including RBAC, ABAC, and Just‑In‑Time (JIT) provisioning.
• Partner with compliance and audit teams to ensure access aligns with SOX, PCI‑DSS, and ISO 27001 frameworks.
• Collaborate on large, cross‑functional projects with security, engineering, and IT teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote IAM best practices throughout the organization.
• Support access integration for mergers & acquisitions, onboarding acquired companies and their identity systems.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience using Terraform to manage IAM infrastructure at scale.
• 2+ years of experience managing an Okta tenant with 1,000+ users, including SSO, MFA, and policy control.
• 2+ years of experience writing scripts for operational tasks and API data manipulation.
• 2+ years of experience with IGA platforms such as SailPoint, ConductorOne, or Lumos.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
