In-house Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an In‑house Engineer to join FLS, a global leader in mining solutions. The role is based on‑site at major mining operations where you will apply your engineering expertise to support customers, optimise equipment performance and drive service growth.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, strengthening relationships across FLS business areas.
• Activate and coordinate Field Services Engineering, Professional Services, Sales and Global Specialists to deliver appropriate technical solutions.
• Manage maintenance plans and spare‑parts requirements for FLS equipment, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for equipment replacement, consumables sales and service line growth within existing installations.
• Provide strategic input for customer retention and growth plans and collaborate with Solution Specialists on‑site consumables offerings.
• Develop, train and support new Site Account Managers and Representatives to improve customer coverage.
• Communicate market price competitiveness and supply strategies with Global Service, Business Lines and Regional Sales.
• Work with Professional Services to deliver on‑site support and identify upgrade and retrofit opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the mining industry in a similar engineering role.
• Proven ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage KPI tracking.
• Experience preparing technical and commercial proposals for mining projects.
• Demonstrated passion for innovation and impact within the mining sector.
