IT Desktop Support (Dispatch) - Freelance

About the role

Brilliant Computers is hiring a freelance IT Desktop Support (dispatch) role in Lima. The Field Engineer supports end-to-end IT asset operations, including warehouse coordination, device preparation, deliveries, collections and reporting. The position requires timely communication, proper documentation and strict adherence to service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming IT equipment at the warehouse, confirm the quantity on delivery, photograph delivery documents and each asset (serial number or service tag visible), store items properly and keep accurate records.
• Power on devices to check for a GE image/logo; share a verification report by WhatsApp and email. If the image is present, mark the device ready for deployment; if not, generate a hash file and share it promptly.
• Handle deliveries: receive requests by email, contact users to confirm availability and schedule, pick up devices from the warehouse, deliver them with a delivery form, obtain proof of delivery and share it immediately.
• Handle collections: schedule pickup of old devices, collect them, confirm completion and share updates. Follow instructions for secure wipe and diagnostics, and share the reports.
• Meet SLAs: acknowledge requests within 2 hours, schedule delivery or collection within 24 hours, complete delivery or collection within 24-48 hours after scheduling, share PODs and reports same day (within 2-4 hours), generate hash files within 24 hours and wipe/diagnostic reports within 24-48 hours after collection.
• Report delays or issues immediately and keep clear, professional communication with users and the team.
