Open Source Enterprise Sales Manager – North America

About the role

Canonical is hiring a regional sales manager for North America to lead its direct enterprise sales team. The role focuses on driving revenue growth for Ubuntu‑based open source solutions across cloud, AI, IoT and data‑science initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Advance deep understanding of Linux, cloud software ecosystems and open‑source selling models.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with enterprise customers.
• Build and expand strategic relationships with partners, hardware and software vendors.
• Develop and own sales engagement strategies, driving awareness of Ubuntu’s open‑source capabilities.
• Travel domestically and internationally to meet clients, partners and attend company events.

Required profile

• Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets in the technology sector.
• Strong experience with Linux and open‑source environments.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills in English.
• Leadership mindset with a commitment to mentorship and skills development.
• Willingness to travel internationally twice a year and more frequently as needed.
