Project Engineer – Wind

About the role

Statkraft is looking for a Project Engineer – Wind to lead all technical aspects of wind turbine projects across the full lifecycle, from feasibility studies to hand‑over. You will work primarily on projects in Peru, with occasional support for initiatives in Chile and Brazil, ensuring technical integrity, compliance and risk control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead wind turbine technical topics from early feasibility through execution, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Manage turbine supply and electromechanical subcontractors, including contract conditions, inspection and test plans, and acceptance testing.
• Develop and coordinate technical interfaces between turbine suppliers, BoP contractors, grid owners, designers, construction and commissioning teams.
• Lead RFP processes: prepare technical specifications, evaluate proposals, draft contract appendices and support commercial negotiations.
• Provide technical support for project development and pipeline projects, validating documents and ensuring readiness for execution.
• Oversee turbine quality and performance, approving mechanical and commissioning completion, conducting conformity tests and verifying contractual performance.
• Support execution, testing and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with standards, supplier obligations and project safety.

Required profile

• Proven experience in wind turbine engineering and project delivery.
• Strong ability to manage subcontractors and technical interfaces.
• Excellent understanding of RFP processes, contract technical clauses and risk mitigation.
• Experience with quality assurance, mechanical completion and commissioning of wind turbines.
• Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus for LATAM projects.
