About the role

The Pharmacy Manager ensures the technical operation of the pharmacy in compliance with governmental regulations, while providing specialized pharmaceutical advice to patients. The role combines regulatory oversight, patient care, staff training, and inventory management to deliver safe and effective pharmacy services.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to specific client consultations, delivering specialized pharmaceutical advice according to service protocols.
• Dispense prescriptions and provide technical support for product-related inquiries.
• Train floor staff on medication categories, dosage forms, laboratories, and common ailments.
• Administer injectable medications (intramuscular and subcutaneous) following medical prescriptions or professional judgment.
• Monitor expiration dates of all medicines and ensure proper handling of psychotropic, controlled, and cold‑chain products.
• Measure and record clients' blood pressure when requested or required urgently.
• Manage orders, control inventory, and securely handle psychotropic and narcotic substances in the digital prescription system.
• Maintain compliance with Ministry of Health and Pharmacy College regulations, including waste management of bio‑infectious materials.

Required profile

• Licensed pharmacist with thorough knowledge of pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Professional judgment to advise patients and handle controlled substances responsibly.
• Ability to train and mentor staff on pharmaceutical topics.
• Attention to detail for inventory control, expiration monitoring, and cold‑chain management.
