Remote Business Analyst - Latin America

About the role

Azumo, an AI software development firm based in San Francisco, is hiring a Business Analyst to lead software development initiatives and personalized development projects. The role is fully remote and based in Latin America, working cross-functionally with business and technical teams to turn complex business needs into clear requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Elicit, document and validate business requirements through interviews, workshops and process mapping.
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and process flows.
• Lead discovery sessions, define products and create wireframes, data dictionaries and gap analyses.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Kanban) and ensure user stories meet the Definition of Ready.
• Manage and prioritize the backlog in JIRA/Notion with the Product Owner.
• Support UAT and maintain a living repository of documentation.
• Create prototypes and leverage AI tools to speed up requirements drafting, summaries, test cases and documentation.
• Use AI-assisted analytics and BI tools to find patterns in business data.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in software development environments.
• Solid experience in Agile environments, especially Scrum and Kanban.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Notion.
• Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Professional English (C1/C2).
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI or GitHub Copilot; crafting effective prompts is desirable.
