Senior Sales Engineer (Cybersecurity)

About the role

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to provide technical sales support for its cybersecurity portfolio in Peru. The role combines deep security expertise with sales acumen to help customers and partners design and adopt complex solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical presentations, demos and proof‑of‑concepts for Proofpoint’s security solutions.
• Assist sales teams in preparing proposals, responding to RFPs and shaping sales strategies.
• Design and recommend complex security architectures across the full product portfolio.
• Provide technical leadership to internal teams, partners and customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and partners to ensure satisfaction and drive revenue.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in the information security industry.
• 7+ years as a Sales Engineer or similar technical sales role.
• Deep knowledge of security solutions, information security concepts and cloud environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (advanced) and Spanish (fluent).
• Proven ability to work collaboratively, solve problems and influence sales outcomes.
