Senior Technical Support Engineer – Chemical/Plastics (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to promote our metallocene resin portfolio across Latin America. The role combines pre‑sales technical assistance, application development and post‑sales support to drive growth in flexible packaging applications.

Key responsibilities

• Support the commercial team and product managers in promoting metallocene resins and specialty elastomers.
• Engage directly with customers to develop applications, select suitable resins and provide formulation guidance.
• Manage technical projects, update pipeline in Dynamic CRM and report project status to product managers.
• Monitor market trends and collaborate with raw‑material suppliers to stay ahead of flexible‑packaging innovations.
• Provide post‑sales technical support, troubleshoot processing issues and assist with resin optimization.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation such as Technical Data Sheets and Certificates of Analysis.
• Support resolution of customer complaints and technical claims.
• Conduct training sessions for the sales team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Materials Engineering with a focus on polymers.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the plastics industry, preferably in processing polyethylene or polypropylene.
• Strong familiarity with flexible‑packaging systems.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
