Teacher

About the role

St George's College is looking for a teacher to deliver lessons, manage class materials and assessments, and support students' academic and socio-emotional needs. The role involves close collaboration with the Psychology Department, the Academic Coordinator and the school administration, and requires adherence to the school's safeguarding and diversity principles.

Key responsibilities

• Plan lessons in advance and send lesson plans by email to the Head of Level and the Academic Coordinator
• Prepare and organise class materials and keep the grade book up to date, entering grades on or before deadlines
• Design monthly assessments for each topic and grade all assigned work
• Keep the classroom decorated with materials related to lessons, activities and holidays
• Perform playground supervision and supervise homework boards, checking them every two weeks
• Collaborate with the Psychology Department on students with academic or behavioural issues, special needs and gifted learners, and refer students with emotional, personal or family issues
• Take part in teacher meetings, institutional workshops, parent meetings and school activities, and contact parents when needed
• Record daily attendance, collect assignments for portfolios, and encourage student participation in subcommittees
• Help organise community service projects, fundraising, fairs and other events
• Follow the work schedule, which varies by grade level, and dress in the school uniform or according to institutional policy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• At least 2 years of experience in education
• Advanced English, fluent in speaking, reading and writing
• Proficiency in digital tools and intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Strong organisation, planning, analytical and communication skills, ability to work under pressure and leadership
