Technical Field Manager – Explosive Ordnance Disposal (Peru)

About the role

The Technical Field Manager leads MAG’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) operations in Peru, ensuring safe execution of weapons and ammunition management projects. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, you will oversee large‑scale EOD activities, training delivery, and the rehabilitation or construction of facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct large‑scale EOD operations across Peru in line with Standard Operating Procedures.
• Deliver weapons and ammunition management training to local stakeholders.
• Supervise the rehabilitation or construction of new EOD facilities.
• Monitor all technical staff to ensure safe practices and build local capacity.
• Support the Technical Operations Manager in overall safety oversight of MAG’s technical activities in the country.

Required profile

• Valid IMAS EOD 3+ qualification or an equivalent recognised certification.
• Extensive experience as an EOD specialist with recent hands‑on EOD duties.
• Proactive, determined attitude with proven ability to manage large‑scale demolitions, pyrotechnics disposal and battle‑area clearance.
• Strong communicator capable of leading, motivating and managing diverse teams.

Required skills

• Expertise in explosive ordnance disposal operations.
• Experience with large‑scale demolition and pyrotechnics disposal.
• Knowledge of weapons and ammunition management procedures.
