About the role
Svitzer Peru is looking for an experienced Captain to command one of its tugboats. The role involves ensuring safe and efficient tug operations, leading the onboard crew, and maintaining strict compliance with maritime safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the tugboat.
- Supervise and coordinate the crew on board.
- Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Plan and coordinate tug operations and allocate resources as needed.
- Prepare and manage operational reports and documentation.
Required profile
- Valid Captain or First Officer Bridge License (Rule II/2).
- Current seafarer’s book.
- Proven experience operating tugboats, preferably with ASD (Azimuth Stern Drive) vessels.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a crew.
