Virtual Healthcare Assistant

About the role

Edge Services & Solutions Peru is looking for a compassionate Virtual Healthcare Assistant to support patients remotely. You will act as the first point of contact, handling inquiries, scheduling, and ensuring smooth coordination of care.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with patients via calls and text messages with empathy and professionalism.
• Manage patient intake, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
• Navigate Epic Systems to update and organize patient medical information.
• Verify insurance benefits, obtain prior authorizations, and process health insurance claims.
• Coordinate prescription refills and lab orders with pharmacies and laboratories.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all interactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation & Interpretation, a medical field, or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in medical interpretation or US health insurance processes.
• Strong familiarity with medical terminology and patient‑care protocols.
• Reliable internet connection with minimum 100 Mbps fiber speed.

What we offer

• Starting salary of S/. 3200 per month (base salary).
• Full‑time contract with comprehensive benefits, including private healthcare coverage.
