Bilingual Front Desk Medical Virtual Assistant (Spanish/English)

About the role

GoLean Healthcare is looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) Virtual Medical Assistant to serve as a remote front‑desk receptionist for a busy hepatology practice. The role focuses on patient intake, scheduling, and administrative support to improve clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, manage routing through the phone tree, and handle voicemails during high‑volume periods.
• Gather and verify patient demographics for new and returning patients.
• Schedule appointments according to physician preferences and execute reminder sequences.
• Coordinate medication refill follow‑ups and ensure appropriate follow‑up appointments are booked.
• Perform basic insurance eligibility checks and submit prior authorizations for medications.
• Prepare and update patient charts in the eClinicalWorks EHR, confirming contact information and PCP details.
• Document administrative notes in designated chart sections.
• Tri­age clinical and admin messages to the correct in‑clinic staff member.
• Submit an end‑of‑day productivity report summarizing tasks completed and outstanding items.

Required profile

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Professional, adaptable, and proactive communication style.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• Experience with the eClinicalWorks electronic health record system.
