Butler – Luxury Guest Relations (Shipboard)

About the role

The Butler is responsible for delivering a seamless, premium in‑suite experience to guests aboard a luxury cruise vessel operating in Peru. Acting as the primary liaison between guests and all hotel and marine departments, the Butler anticipates needs, ensures the suite’s appearance, and guarantees the highest standards of service.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the look, feel, and inventory of assigned suites, ensuring all amenities are presented flawlessly.
• Serve as the personal point of contact for guests, providing information on suite features, ship offerings, ports of call, and Retreat privileges.
• Coordinate inter‑departmental communication to guarantee timely delivery of services and resolve any issues.
• Conduct taste‑testing and quality checks of food, beverages, and other services before guest consumption.
• Champion continuous improvement of service standards within the Retreat program.
• Share guest preferences with relevant departments to personalize the overall experience.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of guest‑facing service experience in a luxury environment.
• Clear, courteous spoken English and the ability to read and write English for procedures and communication.
• Professional appearance, warm demeanor, and strong emotional intelligence.
• Resourceful problem‑solving skills, including basic conflict resolution.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service and the confidence to discuss and serve such items.
