About the role
Svitzer Perú is looking for a Chief Engineer to join its tug operations team. You will be responsible for the technical management of the tug, ensuring safe and efficient operation while maintaining all machinery.
Key responsibilities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on all tug equipment.
- Supervise the onboard engineering team.
- Prepare and manage technical and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
- Control the use of machinery, equipment and technical resources.
Required profile
- STCW III/2 certification.
- Experience operating or maintaining tugboats or similar vessels.
- Valid OMI (IMO) licence and completed OMI courses.
Required skills
- STCW III/2 certification.
- IMO‑approved training courses.
- Expertise in tugboat maintenance.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Technical reporting.
