About the role
Svitzer Perú is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead the technical management of its tug operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the tug’s machinery is maintained to the highest standards while guaranteeing safe and efficient vessel operations.
Key responsibilities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on all tug equipment and machinery.
- Supervise the onboard engineering team and coordinate daily technical activities.
- Prepare and manage technical and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
- Control the use of machinery, equipment and technical resources to optimize performance.
Required profile
- STCW III/2 certification.
- Proven experience on tugs or similar vessels.
- Valid IMO licence and relevant courses.
