About the role
Svitzer Perú is looking for a Chief Engineer to join its tug operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical management of the tug, ensuring safe and efficient operation while maintaining all machinery.
Key responsibilities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment.
- Supervise the onboard engineering team.
- Prepare and manage technical and operational reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Control the use of machinery, equipment and technical resources.
Required profile
- Valid STCW III/2 certification.
- Experience working on tugs or similar vessels.
- Current OMI book and relevant courses.
Required skills
- Knowledge of marine engineering maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental standards for maritime operations.
