Communications Assistant – Lima, Peru

About the role

The Communications Assistant will support the Marketing Area of The Nature Conservancy’s Peru Business Unit, providing day‑to‑day communications services and helping maintain the organization’s visual and editorial assets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain updated digital and physical communications files.
• Follow up with communications vendors on contracts, payments and related matters.
• Support internal communications such as the newsletter, mailings and other corporate messages.
• Assist with event logistics when needed.
• Handle limited financial tasks, including processing invoices, purchase orders and travel expense reports.
• Provide photographic and audiovisual coverage of TNC Peru events and partner activities.
• Develop simple communication pieces (flyers, merchandising items, one‑pages, short videos) using digital tools.
• Create social‑media posts and short videos under the supervision of the Communications Specialist.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, hard‑working and motivated problem‑solver.
• Resides in Lima and is able to travel throughout Peru.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field with at least one year of experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to work with a wide range of internal staff, volunteers, interns and external vendors.
• Strong written English; a portfolio of audiovisual work is valued.

• Basic photography and video editing.
