Contracts Administrator – Yanacocha Water Treatment Project

About the role

The Contracts Administrator will ensure that contractors meet all safety and quality requirements for the Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant project in Peru. You will supervise progress reports, coordinate site movements, and contribute to planning and recovery plans alongside the contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor contract performance areas as assigned.
• Administer contracts, continuously review progress, and flag potential financial or technical issues.
• Lead meetings, presentations, and training sessions; prepare periodic status reports for management.
• Negotiate and administer moderate to complex contract changes.
• Coordinate with operational staff on activities affecting contractual rights and obligations.
• Represent Bechtel in contract negotiations and discussions of moderate to high complexity.
• Verify implementation of contract formation and administration procedures.

Required profile

• Experience monitoring contract performance and administering contracts in a construction or engineering environment.
• Ability to lead meetings and prepare status reports for senior management.
• Strong negotiation skills for contract changes and settlements.
