Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change Consultant

About the role

ERM is seeking a Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change Consultant to join its Lima office and support the company’s ambitious growth agenda. The role focuses on assessing climate risks, developing decarbonisation strategies and ensuring alignment with environmental policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct climate‑related risk and opportunity assessments, evaluating physical and transition risks and their financial impacts.
• Develop environmental procedures and guidelines for decarbonisation, GHG mitigation and climate risk management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, field consultants, industry counterparts and senior executives to align business and industry needs.
• Develop and review GHG inventories in line with the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064, ensuring completeness, accuracy and audit‑readiness.
• Establish GHG emission baselines and science‑aligned reduction targets for decarbonisation planning.
• Design decarbonisation roadmaps that integrate mitigation and adaptation strategies, quantifying abatement options and assessing technical and economic feasibility.
• Ensure facility operating and business plan objectives remain consistent with environmental and climate policies, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of consultancy experience in climate‑change services, especially climate risk.
• Understanding of renewable‑energy trends, net‑zero planning and low‑carbon economy transition.
• Ability to work independently with strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Fluent presentation and communication skills in both Spanish and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of the GHG Protocol and ISO 14064 standards.
