Country Medical Director

About the role

The Country Medical Director (CMD) joins Roche’s affiliate leadership team to shape and execute the national medical strategy across multiple therapeutic areas, ensuring scientific rigor and patient‑focused outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the medical team in cross‑functional collaboration, applying the VACC framework to drive pipeline and on‑market portfolio success.
• Develop and implement competitive medical strategies, evidence generation plans, and value demonstration while safeguarding Roche’s reputation.
• Maintain the highest scientific standards across five therapeutic areas and eleven disease indications, providing end‑to‑end leadership.
• Represent Roche with external stakeholders including policymakers, patient advocacy groups, media, and partner companies.
• Ensure compliance as the local delegate of Roche’s Pharma CMO, overseeing medical grants, sponsorships, and promotional material approvals.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) required; board certification in a specialty preferred.
• Extensive Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Deep understanding of the Peruvian healthcare system, regulatory and payer environments.
• Strategic, customer‑centric mindset with strong communication and leadership capabilities.
