Customer Service Representative (Medical Equipment)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to serve as the primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, referral sources, and commercial accounts. You will handle inquiries, process orders, and resolve issues related to our clinical respiratory equipment and services.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls with a professional greeting, take detailed messages, and route callers appropriately.
• Greet visitors and direct them to the right personnel.
• Distribute mail and fax communications promptly.
• Qualify orders by confirming diagnosis, insurance coverage, and financial responsibility.
• Enter orders and changes into the system, process work orders, and manage prescription paperwork.
• Coordinate delivery or pickup times with patients and caregivers.
• Communicate orders to clinical specialists and delivery teams.
• Handle customer complaints using problem‑solving techniques and follow‑up logs.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the products we carry and company policies.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient financial responsibilities.
• Ability to follow intake procedures and documentation standards.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with Brightree software.
