About the role
Blacksmith Agency builds websites and marketing programs for US clients. As a Design Systems Engineer you own the creation of client design systems, turning brand references into token architecture, component libraries and documented pipelines.
Key responsibilities
- Build token architecture in Figma using variables, modes, and semantic naming for pipeline consumption.
- Ship core component libraries that work across entire sites, not just homepages.
- Document systems so developers or automated pipelines can execute them without questions.
- Work across multiple client brands simultaneously, maintaining structural rigor.
Required profile
- 4+ years of web design experience with design system work showcased in a portfolio.
- Strong English proficiency and ability to overlap with US business hours.
- Demonstrated ability to create distinct brand designs while maintaining consistent underlying rigor.
Required skills
- Figma (variables, component properties, auto layout, variants)
