Director, National Programs

About the role

The Director of National Programs leads Maximo Nivel’s Native English Program in Cusco, overseeing sales, marketing, client service, class scheduling, diagnostic testing and student matriculation. This senior position manages a small office team and ensures the daily operations of the front‑office “store” run smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales of individual and corporate English courses to hotels, banks, restaurants, tour operators and other businesses.
• Manage the front office, including opening, closing, cash handling and daily logistics.
• Generate regular reports (cash box, matriculation per class, class schedule, inventory) using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Enforce policies such as matriculation after exam, use of original textbooks, greeting hours and removal of non‑paying clients.
• Collaborate closely with the Academic Director, Country Manager and Director of International Programs to meet monthly matriculation targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred); TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certification is a plus.
• Fluent English and advanced Spanish.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in sales or client‑service environments.
• Strong administrative, organizational and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Proven leadership skills with a passion for training cross‑cultural teams.
