Director of Recruitment – Solar & Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Recruitment to design, build, and lead a full‑stack recruiting function for a fast‑growing solar and roofing company operating across Texas. This strategic, hands‑on role will shape hiring processes, implement technology, and develop a high‑performing team while staying directly involved in critical hires.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable, repeatable end‑to‑end recruitment process, from sourcing through onboarding handoff.
• Create standardized hiring workflows, interview frameworks, job scorecards, and ensure compliance with hiring practices.
• Continuously improve recruiting operations through process optimization and automation to deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
• Evaluate, implement, and optimize the recruiting technology stack, including ATS platforms, sourcing tools, scheduling software, and candidate communication systems.
• Establish recruiting KPIs and dashboards (time‑to‑fill, cost‑per‑hire, offer acceptance rate, 90‑day retention, source effectiveness) and present insights to leadership.
• Partner with sales and operations leaders to forecast hiring needs, align recruiting strategies with business growth, and build a high‑performing recruitment team.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and scaling recruitment processes for field operations, sales, and leadership roles.
• Hands‑on recruiting background with a track record of filling business‑critical positions.
• Strategic mindset combined with the ability to execute day‑to‑day recruiting activities.
• Strong partnership skills to work closely with senior leadership on workforce planning.
