Electric Designer / Diseñador/a Eléctrico/a

About the role

Bechtel is seeking an Electric Designer to join its Mining & Metals team in Lima. The role involves planning, developing, and reviewing electrical engineering designs for large‑scale projects, producing detailed drawings and documentation, and preparing design estimates.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical designers and drafters to create 2‑D and 3‑D CAD models, layouts, and construction drawings.
• Develop complete electrical systems for earthwork, drainage, road, foundation, and steel detailing, ensuring compliance with all codes and standards.
• Prepare design estimates, material requisitions, and assist with bid evaluations.
• Review and verify electrical calculations, drawings, and bid summaries for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in constructability reviews and monitor work for adherence to approved design standards.
• Create and maintain design and drafting procedures to standardize effort across the team.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in electrical design for industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical issues.
• Effective communication skills for client coordination and technical discussions.
