English Teacher – Preschool Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated English teacher to support our lead teacher in a preschool setting. The role involves assisting with daily lesson plans, classroom activities, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by helping implement lesson plans, educational games, and learning activities aligned with the preschool curriculum.
• Supervise children during classroom work, playtime, meals, and outdoor activities, promoting safety and positive behavior.
• Assist with behavior management by reinforcing classroom rules and guiding social‑emotional development.
• Prepare and organize learning materials, displays, and resources to facilitate hands‑on learning.
• Maintain a clean and hazard‑free classroom, including sanitizing toys and equipment.
• Provide individualized support to children who need extra help or emotional assistance.
• Observe children’s development and report observations or concerns to the lead teacher.
• Help children with daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals, and rest time.
• Model respectful and inclusive behavior to foster a positive classroom culture.
• Collaborate closely with the lead teacher and other staff to ensure consistent teaching practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (required).
• Completion of a TKT training course.
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting (preferred).
• Patience, empathy, strong communication, teamwork, observation skills, creativity, organization, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.
