Finance Officer

About the role

The Finance Officer will lead the financial and budget management functions for a school, ensuring sound fiscal planning, treasury oversight, and compliance with regulatory obligations. The role supports senior management and area leaders with accurate financial information for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, monitor and analyse the annual school budget, proposing corrective actions as needed.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash flow monitoring, investment decisions under the school’s policy, and relationships with banks and financial institutions.
• Oversee income collection from tuition and fees, handle invoicing, and respond to payment queries.
• Supervise daily and monthly bank reconciliations and ensure compliance with internal financial policies and tax regulations.
• Develop cash‑flow projections to maintain operational liquidity.
• Participate in process analysis, optimisation, and the school’s target‑setting and appraisal system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial positions, preferably with budget preparation, treasury or management control.
• Strong analytical thinking, clear communication, and high ethical standards.
• Experience in educational institutions is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace tools (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience using financial management software and ERP systems.
