Financial Controller (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting operations, reporting, and compliance for US‑based companies. The role is fully remote and offers the chance to work alongside seasoned finance leaders while shaping scalable finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting functions including GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accuracy and US GAAP compliance.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and close procedures.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Lead accounting system implementations, migrations, and automation initiatives.
• Mentor and support accounting team members.
• Communicate financial risks and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Previous experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior Accounting Manager.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and month‑end/quarter‑end/year‑end close ownership.
• Proven experience managing audits and external auditors.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
