Fiscal Specialist – International Finance Oversight

About the role

The Fiscal Specialist provides financial and budgetary oversight, advice, and assistance to management and administrative staff across the regional office and its country offices in Brussels, Belgium and Lima, Peru. This role ensures proper financial controls, timely payments, and accurate reporting for the region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist all foreign offices within the region with financial management and funds control.
• Ensure timely payment of invoices and monitor imprest fund replenishment.
• Serve as Regional Allowance Approving Official and review a variety of financial transactions.
• Provide guidance to Administrative Support Specialists on cost analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and submit monthly regional spending reports and financial analysis to management.
• Collaborate with regional management and program managers on balanced budgets and right‑sizing proposals.
• Conduct contracting, budgetary actions, and manage financial resources.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and oversight.
• Ability to work in an international government environment with assignments up to five years overseas.
• Strong analytical skills for financial reporting and cost analysis.
