Full Stack Engineer

About the role

You will be DroneSight's first dedicated engineering hire, working directly with the founder across the whole platform. Your first priority will be improving the existing native Android and iOS apps, fixing bugs, enhancing reliability and performance, and delivering new features.

Key responsibilities

• Improve and extend Android and iOS apps: fix bugs, improve stability, ship new features.
• Develop and maintain the web application, interactive detection map, and backend services.
• Build features involving maps, drone detections, user accounts, sensor management, historical data, and data visualization.
• Work with embedded software on Remote ID receivers and build internal tools for device provisioning, fleet monitoring, diagnostics, and customer support.
• Investigate performance and reliability issues across devices, networks, backend, and apps.
• Turn product ideas and user feedback into working software, collaborating directly with the founder.
• Write tests and documentation appropriate to each system.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools responsibly.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience building production web applications, backend services, or mobile apps.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and ability to learn others quickly.
• Experience with APIs, databases, Git, testing, and production systems.
• Ability to investigate unfamiliar systems and make progress independently.
• Practical, product‑oriented mindset focused on reliability for users.
• Experience using AI coding tools effectively.
• Availability for significant daily overlap with US Eastern Time.
• Residency in Peru or Colombia.
