General Director – International NGO

About the role

The General Director will lead Intiwawa en acción’s operations in Peru, Germany and the United States, ensuring cohesive strategy and effective collaboration across all programmes and support functions. Reporting to the Board, the role combines organisational leadership, fundraising, and partnership development to advance the NGO’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate overall operations, aligning human, administrative and financial resources with the organization’s mission and vision.
• Develop and implement annual strategic plans with measurable objectives and indicators.
• Oversee budgets, financial reporting, and ensure transparency in all administrative documentation.
• Lead fundraising, grant writing and cultivate strategic partnerships with local and international institutions.
• Manage monitoring and evaluation processes, ensuring collection, analysis and communication of impact data.
• Provide guidance and support to staff, coordinators and volunteers across three countries, fostering a collaborative multicultural team.
• Act as primary contact for donors, partners, collaborators and beneficiary communities.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in the nonprofit or international development sector.
• Strong track record in fundraising, grant acquisition and partnership building.
• Excellent organizational, communication and cross‑cultural coordination skills.
• Ability to thrive in dynamic environments and drive long‑term sustainability.
