Housekeeping Manager (Cruise Ship)

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience through immaculate cabin and public area cleanliness on board. This senior hospitality leader ensures premium service standards are met consistently across the ship.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all housekeeping operations, guaranteeing visual and sanitary standards exceed guest expectations.
• Lead, train, and develop supervisors and crew members, maintaining a strong floor presence.
• Manage chemical handling, safety procedures, equipment use, and personal protective equipment compliance.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to company safety, quality, and environmental policies.
• Monitor performance metrics, conduct regular inspections, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of progressive housekeeping management experience, preferably in upscale hotels, resorts, or cruise ships.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and crew talent assessment.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and team members at all levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using industry software such as SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, and Kronos.
