Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will support daily HR operations in a manufacturing environment, acting as a trusted partner to plant leadership and employees. You will provide hands‑on assistance across employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compliance, and HR initiatives while helping the operation meet its business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and leaders within the manufacturing facility.
• Partner with plant leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational objectives.
• Manage employee‑relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, coaching, and corrective actions.
• Support recruiting for hourly and salaried roles, handling sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Lead new‑hire onboarding to ensure a positive employee experience.
• Maintain accurate HR records and assist with HRIS activities.
• Assist with performance‑management processes such as goal setting, evaluations, and development plans.
• Guide leaders on policies, procedures, and employment practices.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Help deliver training, development programs, and engagement initiatives.
• Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and inform business decisions.
• Collaborate with payroll, benefits, and safety teams to resolve employee needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven experience supporting hourly plant employees.
• Strong knowledge of employee‑relations practices and employment law.
• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, and performance‑management processes.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to work independently while partnering effectively with leadership.
