Investment Analyst – Sustainable Food Debt (Latam)

About the role

responsAbility is seeking an Investment Analyst to support origination, due diligence, execution and portfolio management of debt investments in the sustainable food and agriculture sector across Latin America. The role combines financial analysis, ESG assessment and client interaction within a fast‑paced impact‑investment environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support due‑diligence processes and credit risk assessments.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare investment recommendations.
• Perform market, sector and commodity research.
• Review financial statements, cash‑flow projections and business plans.
• Prepare investment committee materials, monitoring reports and portfolio reviews.
• Assist with ESG and impact assessments.
• Monitor portfolio companies and support ongoing client engagement.
• Participate in client meetings, due‑diligence calls and site visits as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, engineering, agribusiness or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in investment analysis, corporate finance, credit analysis, private debt, banking, consulting or agribusiness finance.
• Strong understanding of financial‑statement analysis, credit risk assessment, financial modelling and debt transaction documentation.
• Advanced written and spoken English (mandatory); Portuguese is a strong asset.
• Proactive, self‑driven and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment.
