Junior Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

AECOM is looking for a motivated Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join its Lima office. You will support the design and analysis of foundations, slopes, and earthworks on a variety of infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in bearing capacity, slope stability, settlement and seepage analyses using GeoStudio, SLIDE, PLAXIS and related software.
• Organise, review and process soil test data for engineering analysis.
• Prepare stratigraphic profiles, geotechnical sections and instrumentation plans in AutoCAD.
• Draft geotechnical reports and technical documents under senior guidance.
• Produce design calculations, sketches, schematic and working drawings.
• Support preparation of presentation materials and design drawings in coordination with the project team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience or equivalent practical exposure in geotechnical engineering.
• Proven experience with geotechnical laboratory and field testing.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Intermediate level of English.
