Junior MEP/TIC Engineer – BIM Modelling (Airport Projects)

About the role

AECOM is hiring a junior MEP/TIC engineer in Lima, Peru, focused on BIM structural modelling and drawing production for complex building projects such as airports, hospitals, terminals and large-scale structures. The position works under the supervision of senior MEP engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop BIM models of MEP systems, ensuring consistency with the analytical model, calculations and technical documentation.
• Produce complete MEP design packages (model plus drawings) and generate MEP drawings from the BIM model (details, sections).
• Interpret sketches and MEP guidelines and support their graphical implementation.
• Take part in interdisciplinary coordination (architecture, MEP, structures) in a BIM environment.
• Support quality checks of the model and drawings (consistency, clashes, standards compliance).

Required profile

• Electrical engineering degree, or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or training.
• Preferred: 3 years of basic MEP BIM modelling and experience in building projects (ideally medium to large scale).
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt.

Required skills

• Revit MEP at intermediate level (essential)
• AutoCAD at intermediate/advanced level
• Basic structured cabling and networking design knowledge
• Basic knowledge of RNE, ANSI/TIA, BICSI and NFPA standards
• BIM environments and federated models; basic Navisworks or similar coordination tools
• Collaborative platforms such as ACC, BIM 360 or similar (desirable)
