LOTO Authority – Energy Isolation & Labeling Specialist

About the role

The LOTO Authority will manage the lockout/tagout (LOTO) program for the Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant project in Peru. Working on a 14‑day shift schedule, you will ensure safe isolation of energy sources for construction and pre‑commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and enforce an integrated LOTO (blocking and labeling) program across all project teams.
• Verify that energy isolation complies with SWPP, STCP and Q4Safety requirements.
• Lead a team of Blocking supervisors, providing guidance and oversight.
• Support construction and pre‑commissioning crews with mechanical and electrical insulation information.
• Identify insulation limits, issue electronic Energy Isolation Permits (EIP) and maintain accurate records.
• Deliver LOTO training to project personnel and ensure strict procedural compliance.
• Procure and manage materials needed for energy isolation activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in lockout/tagout program management within industrial or construction environments.
• Familiarity with safety standards such as SWPP, STCP and Q4Safety.
• Ability to work 14 × 7 shift rotations and operate in remote field conditions.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across multiple disciplines.
