Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join Mondelēz International as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician and lead the planning, development, and execution of preventive and progressive maintenance in a high‑performance manufacturing environment. You will work closely with line leaders, technical teams, and external contractors to ensure equipment reliability and process stability.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with line leaders to achieve SQCDSM targets (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, Morale).
• Own technology, process settings, and centerline management for line equipment.
• Manage Progressive Maintenance (PM) systems, KPIs, and the Repairs & Maintenance (R&M) budget.
• Develop and execute preventive and time‑based maintenance plans, building capability within shift technicians.
• Lead Autonomous Maintenance (AM) initiatives and act as a subject‑matter expert for a component category.
• Collaborate with Asset & Reliability teams on system improvements and special maintenance tasks.
• Drive change management, spare‑part localization, breakdown analysis, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Represent the site in regional and global technology forums.

Required profile

• Strong desire to grow a career in industrial maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of Autonomous Maintenance (Step 4) and Progressive Maintenance (Step 3).
• Proven ability to independently maintain dedicated equipment using AM, PM, and TPM Phase 3‑4 tools.
• Experience leading maintenance activities on a production line and coaching junior technicians.
• Capability to manage budgets, drive continuous improvement, and apply PDCA methodology.
