Mining Infrastructure Lead

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Mining Infrastructure Lead to join its team in Lima, Peru. The role ensures operational excellence, delivers high-quality mining services and supports the growth of AECOM's mining services across Peru and LATAM. It is a key position within the Mining Leadership Team for Peru.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the mining business strategy and help drive growth and new opportunities across Peru and LATAM
• Champion a culture of collaboration, innovation and excellence within the mining team
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the department, including civil, geotechnical, mechanical, structural, electrical and instrumentation staff
• Establish best practices, processes and tools to improve efficiency and client satisfaction, and monitor department performance metrics
• Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team spread across several provinces, conduct performance reviews and foster an inclusive environment
• Build strong relationships with clients and industry partners, represent AECOM at industry events and collaborate with internal teams on multidisciplinary service delivery

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Geology, Environmental Science or related field)
• 8+ years of experience in the mining industry with a proven record of leadership and operational management, or equivalent experience and education
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects
• Strong understanding of the Peruvian mining sector, including regulations, market trends and client needs
• Fluent English and Spanish
• Preferred: Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation, 12+ years of mining experience, business development and client relationship management experience, and experience leading geographically dispersed teams
