Multilingual Middle Office Role – Shanghai Commodity Trading

About the role

Our Shanghai office is seeking a multilingual professional to join the Middle Office team in commodity trading and supply chain management. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience across international trade, finance, and logistics, with the possibility to move into a commercial role in the future.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with trading desks, finance specialists and external partners worldwide.
• Negotiate and execute international trade agreements.
• Manage payment processing, exposure monitoring and other financial operations.
• Coordinate global logistics across maritime, rail and road networks.
• Execute strategic hedging and pricing activities in volatile markets.
• Maintain accurate data systems and identify process‑optimisation opportunities.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and Mandarin; additional fluency in French or Spanish is a plus.
• Recent university degree (any discipline) with up to four years of work experience.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to be globally mobile and pursue a career in commodity trading.
