Physical Education Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our school community. The successful candidate will lead students in developing fitness, sports skills, and healthy lifestyle habits while ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lesson plans covering physical fitness, sports, and health education.
• Teach rules, techniques, and strategies for a variety of sports and physical activities.
• Assess students’ physical abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Integrate health and nutrition education into the curriculum.
• Organise and supervise physical education activities, including sports tournaments and class sessions.
• Maintain a safe environment for all activities and enforce health & safety protocols.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress.
• Stay current with the latest trends and research in physical fitness and education.

Required profile

• Commitment to the wellbeing and safety of children, with a strong understanding of safeguarding principles.
• Ability to treat all students with respect, embracing diversity and promoting inclusion.
• Effective organisational skills and focus on delivering high‑impact teaching.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development.
• Successful completion of required vetting procedures, including background checks covering the past ten years.
