Primary Teacher – PYP (International School)

About the role

Markham College is looking for an inspirational Primary Teacher to deliver the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) to our students starting February 2027. The role is based in our new, immersive learning environment in Lima, Peru, and will contribute to the continuity between the Primary Years Programme and the Secondary IBDP.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging PYP‑aligned lessons for primary students.
• Foster a supportive, inquiry‑based classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence across year groups.
• Participate in school-wide events, professional development and community initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in Education or a related field.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
• Experience teaching the PYP curriculum or a strong commitment to adopt it.

Required skills

• Proficiency in implementing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
• Ability to design inquiry‑based learning experiences.
