Process Designer (P&ID & PFD Specialist)

About the role

Develop and coordinate process design deliverables for mining and metals projects, including P&IDs and PFDs, ensuring compliance with standards and integration with other disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) using SPPID and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) using MicroStation.
• Coordinate design activities with process engineers, other disciplines and project functions to deliver consistent engineering documents.
• Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness and compliance, incorporating vendor data and design changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical qualification in design/drafting with 5–8 years of relevant design experience (or 9–12 years of related work).
• Ability to read and apply process engineering information, identify inconsistencies, and manage design work with minimal supervision.
• Legal right to work in Peru without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SPPID for P&ID development.
• Experience with MicroStation for PFD creation.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, AVEVA or similar drafting tools (desirable).
• Understanding of P&ID symbols, instrumentation conventions and drawing standards.
