Product & Application Specialist LATAM

About the role

Clariant, a global specialty chemicals company, is looking for a Product & Application Specialist for the LATAM region, based onsite in Callao, Peru. You will act as the technical bridge between science and solutions, supporting application and product development in the edible oil purification and biofuels segments, and giving technical support to the commercial team and customers across LATAM.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine and investigative laboratory work, run experiments and contribute to innovation projects from lab scale to commercial production
• Support digital transformation initiatives across the region using data analytics, machine learning and AI
• Handle customer sample requests and give technical assistance to the sales team in LATAM
• Coordinate product scale-up for reformulations and new formulations with QC/QA teams
• Ensure compliance with development standards, review testing methods and keep hazardous substance records up to date
• Share technical knowledge with new team members and interns on products, procedures and lab safety

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in analytical laboratories
• Fluent English and Spanish
• Proactive, analytical and problem-solving, able to manage development projects independently
• Lean Six Sigma certification desirable

Required skills

• Knowledge of cGMP/HACCP standards
• Statistical analysis software such as Matlab, Minitab or Python
