Project Controller – EPCM Mining

About the role

The Project Controller will join Lycopodium’s Project Controls team in San Isidro, Peru, reporting to the Project Controls Manager. The role is responsible for accurate and timely cost control, budgeting and reporting for EPCM mining projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Convert and manage project budgets across engineering and procurement phases, ensuring cost structures match approved scopes.
• Implement and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to support precise cost tracking.
• Create procurement and subcontract packages, apply the Authorise to Commit (ATC) process, and monitor package funding needs.
• Identify and document scope changes, manage change notices (PCNs), and update the change register.
• Maintain cost forecasts, monitor risks, and manage contingencies (client, project, and company).
• Prepare and update performance and cost reporting for senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of budget definition principles and capital cost estimates for EPCM mining projects.
• Experience with WBS creation, cost control structures, and package funding assessment.
• Knowledge of change management procedures and ability to compile change documentation.
• Ability to analyse cost forecasts, risks, and contingency ownership.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to support decision‑making.
